Custom handlers must validate each status with ReportingConsumerStatusV1Schema from @adcp/sdk/reporting/ledger; the framework validates only the published request envelope so one malformed sibling cannot reject all. The framework also enforces the SDK's 8 MiB, 10,000-node, and maximum-depth request bounds before dispatch. Custom handlers must also reject every duplicate ID and every entry in a duplicate logical status chain at batch scope.
